Having never flown R/C before I first purchased the VOLANTEX TRAINSTAR MINI from R/C Hobbyland to learn to fly. This is a great R/C trainer. Inexpensive. Tough. Forgiving. Then I progressed to the VOLANTEX P-51D. WOW!!! This plane is absolutely AMAZING. As an intermediate trainer she is as tough as old boots! With the stabilisation mode on it is very forgiving but by using the stunt button in this mode you can add some excitement to your flying with loops and rolls, without crashing. Having mastered the basics you flip the switch to intermediate mode and you are in TOPGUN mode (almost as there is an expert mode) and the sky is your limit, or if you become disorientated, terra firma, or a big gum tree! I can't tell you how many times I've crashed it. Any major damage can be quickly repaired with super glue. She just keeps flying. And for the price you pay you are getting maximum bangs for your bucks. The only problem is the propeller. They pop off in a crash landing, which is a great idea, but if you fly over long grass they can be hard to find. Don't worry, R/C Hobbyland has spares so buy a few while you are there and support our local hobbyshop!
